Comes with 2 removable inserts: 1/2″ open cell high impact foam and 1/2″ Airflow spacer that can be combined or used by themselves for the ideal impact protection and saddle fit without the need for additional layers. Front and back shims can also be used inside this pad.

I have an ecogold cross country pad I use for endurance riding. It keeps my horse’s back cool and comfortable and after 5 years and hundreds of miles of competition it’s just starting to wear (and still works great). I want a new one but can’t justify it yet!

Fantastic pad for many reasons. Improves saddle fit and increases overall comfort for my horse. Sweaty pads are super easy to wash. I often spray my pads with a hose and hang to dry.

I do endurance in Alberta and I was sorta tired of trying this sheepskin pad and that sheepskin pad. They were very hot when I’d take them off my geldings back at vet holds.
I love the fact that Ecogold allows a 30day trial and if it doesn’t work out they’ll take it back; that’s why I decided to give this a go.
It does make a difference with dispersant of heat and acts like a sponge when it comes to wicking sweat.
The non-slip is only on the panels of the pad not the back; but overall it doesn’t move as much as every other pad I’ve tried.
I’ll be buying another one come next season.
Very easy to wash as well. 🙂
